About Odin's Acres
Odin's Acres is a community based up and coming homestead located in greater Bangor area. Our focuses are: sustainability, self sufficiency and getting back to our roots. This includes practices in primitive to pre-industrial technology. We are learning and implementing vastly forgotten practices of the generations of people who have lived on the land before us, with hopes of sharing these practices with intention of spreading self sufficiency.
Our current projects include: raising chickens, ducks and rabbits, experimenting with wild rice growth, preparing for winter, pole framing a garage, hanging out with cats, collecting salt, rendering and canning fat, brain tanning hides, mushroom hunting and discovering the ways that mushrooms might save the world.
Lily is the resident Reiki Master, Yoga Instructor and primitive skills enthusiast.
George is the tall one looking after the birds and building stuff.
